My book challenge. Day 68.

Read 1058 pages out of 1485.

Spoilers, spoilers, spoilers. Any normal person hates them. I just threw away the book with disgust when I realized whole point of the main intrigue in the book - thanks damn BBC series. To be exact because of the frame, which you can see above the text. Ok, I’m so mad that I can not even clearly explain what I mean. (what?)

Something sad happened to me. Sad things happening consistently. And this blog is something like my diary. About two weeks ago I got in a car accident. Nothing terrible, I was in the hospital, and in this Wednesday drove home. Thank God I was allowed to bring a laptop, so I was happy to chat with friends on Skype and hang on Tumbler. Every day reading other people’s blogs, I get a smile on my face and I was not so scared and lonely.

I have no moral to this story.

I took a break from Sherlock and put a huge book, written by Arthur Conan Doyle on the shelf. Looks great there.

This week I read a cool book “Naiv. Super.”

This book should be read from time to time, and you’re back to your childhood. What can be learned by reading it:

1.How to entertain yourself without spending more than 100 CZK

2.How to buy a car

3.How to Get a girlfriend

4.The book is an excellent guide to New York

4.Teaches you how draw up lists.

I love this book. It’s like a ticket to childhood.

I just realized I did not read fairy tales as a child. In school we read them superficially and somehow unconsciously. SO I found a battered copy of the book “Red Sails” and ready to dive into the world of romance.

Story is very short, generally too short. And absolutely not become my favorite love story. I do not like love stories, but I am not opposed of romance and other stuff.

This is a nice fairy tale, but only a fairy tale.

Endless book! The story became a super-scary, try not to read it at night, and if I read at night until the morning I can not sleep. There’s nothing even close to the BBC version. Sorry, anything similar in the BBC version with the original book. Only the names of minor characters are the same. And the scene. And the legend of the hound.

Reading is magic, but it snows in Russia (totally not awesome) :(

Start reading a book “The Hound of the Baskervilles”.I’m really excited. because I used to watch an old Soviet film (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson: The Hound of the Baskervilles. 1981) And i also saw a similar series in the BBC Sherlock. So now, I have a chance to refresh my memory and to train my imagination.

And yes. This is amazing asian Sherlock in the picture. So what?

Remember the scene in the series with a harpoon? This story is in the original book and called “The Adventure of Black Peter”. Towards the end the stories become more horrific and bloody. (me like it)

And there is another strange thing. . The stories of the second and third books are very similar to stories of first. For example “The Adventure of Black Peter” similar to story “The Gloria Scott” and “Adventure of the Red-Headed League” the same as “The Stock-broker’s Clerk”

Sometime there is some easy crime, and I can guess them faster then Sherlock. Most likely because I already read it at school. -_-

It was a hard week. Next week begins spring break. I do not know when I find the time for the challenge. I mean that the holidays should be fun, right? (within the meaning fun to play Sims 3? YES. Damn, I bought the disc, now I can play a little bit?)

BUT. Also, I read “The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes”. The book was shorter than I thought. And about Moriarty says quite little, only one story. In other books may be more.

In any case, I keep reading.
